Tri-Community Women's Group Exhibit "Now and Then"
Opening exhibit reception for women artists of the Tri-Community past and present. So many amazing local artists will be featured, such as: Lila Carter, Dillie Thomas, Helga Walner, Patricia Farrell, Suzi McKinney, Cheyanne Hunter, Bonnie Hanson, Lora Steinmann, Susan Weber, Colleen Sparlin, Asha Ramirez, Julia Reineman, Mo Teal, Desi La Bounty, Deborah Merz, Carol Mailander, Chelsea Brummet, Shannon La Bounty, Kazumi Svenson, and more!
All are welcome and this event is free to attend. Artwork will be on display until 10/26. Light refreshments provided, no RSVP necessary.
If you would like to submit your artwork or a loved one’s art that has passed away on display, please reach out to rrivera@wrightwoodarts.com or contact us via our website or social media. Deadline to submit is September 24th.

Crochet Hacky Sack Class
Learn how to make your very own crochet hacky sack! Your teacher, Viko Brenizer, will help guide you through the entire process. This class is recommended for ages 12 and up. All materials will be provided for you and absolutely no experience is needed.
Tickets can be purchased on our Eventbrite. They can also be purchased at our location during business hours.

Art Night! - Charcoal Life Model Drawing with Cheyanne Hunter
For this class, you will be guided as you use charcoal to draw a special clothed live model (WAC Artist Member, Paul Samenfeld). Life drawing and charcoal essentials, such as gesture lines, shapes, distance, and values, will be taught throughout the class. No previous experience is required and all supplies are included in the ticket price. Complimentary snacks and drinks are also provided. Event is ages 21+.

2nd Annual Artiversary
Come and help us celebrate 2 years at our current location! We will be celebrating the occasion with and exhibition of local artists as well as hosting a silent auction of art, services, and the community painting from the Spring Fling back in May.
This is a 21+ event with live music and dessert bar.

Pottery and Raku Workshop - Glaze, Potluck, and Raku Firing
Come get your hands dirty at our Pottery and Raku Workshop! Join us for a fun-filled days of crafting beautiful pottery pieces and learning the ancient art of Raku firing. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the process, from molding the clay to firing it in our kiln. No experience necessary - just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! This in-person multiple day workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore their artistic side and create something truly unique. For this session, we will be glazing, enjoying a potluck, and raku firing. We will start at 2PM and work until the process is finished.

Moses Sparks - “Take a Virtual Safari Around the World”
Wrightwood Arts Center will host a presentation by award winning international wildlife photographer, Moses Sparks. Moses has traveled the globe photographing some of the rarest and most unusual creature to be found anywhere.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see vast herds of animals on the plain of Africa, hike through the lush rainforests of Central America, cruise a boat through the steaming Brazilian jungle, or explore the dense boreal forests of British Columbia? Well, now you can…without ever leaving Wrightwood!
Moses will show photos from his travels and share the stories behind them. Presentation will be 90 minutes and include time for questions and answers. Moses regularly does lectures for conservation organizations, educational groups, businesses, and parks & recreation agencies. They are always highly interactive and just plain fun for all ages.
This is a free event open to the public.

Art Night! - Graduated Color and Jigsaw Print with Colleen Sparlin
Join us for a special print making technique where you transition between colors. No previous experience is required and all supplies will be provided for you.

AWOL ONE Solo Art Show
Please join us for the opening reception of AWOL ONES art exhibit. It will be on view until August 31st during open hours.
AWOL is a is a songwriter, alternative hip hop artist and graphic designer, his exhibition will feature his visual art work. We are stoked to get the opportunity to showcase his illustrations and screen prints.
There will be an artist talk at 6pm.
